Young, contemporary art: The institution was established in the 1980s to raise public awareness of contemporary art. Back then it was still a "traveling association", while today it offers young artists an exhibition venue in a small hall < mehr >

Conceptual painting and sculpture: Internationally acclaimed artists such as John M. Armleder, Karin Sander and Nedko Solakov have had solo shows in the institution. These are alternated with works from the Museum collection < mehr >

Contemporary art addressing the topic, nature: Solo shows by contemporary artists addressing the topic of nature are to be seen in a former assembly shop. The emphasis is on site-specific installations < mehr >

Up-and-coming young artists: The art association Magazin 4 presents an exciting, conceptual program featuring young, regional and international artists. There are four exhibitions a year often presided over by external curators < mehr >

Winner of several prizes: Designed by Peter Zumthor through its architecture the Kunsthaus invites artists to adopt a site-specific approach to their work. Olafur Eliasson, Tony Oursler and Cosima von Bonin have already exhibited here < mehr >
