More than just the Leipzig School the Saxon in-city

With its young and exciting art scene, this lively city is certainly set to impress. Institutions founded shortly after Reunification are particularly active in the area surrounding the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst. They have long since established themselves internationally, like Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst, and focus on socially relevant topics. The tours of the Spinnerei complex are popular with nearly a dozen galleries and contemporary art spaces. Museum der bildenden Künste presents art-historical treasures in its new building, while Grassimuseum and the Tübke Stiftung have more traditional spaces for their presentations.
