CITY GUIDE BODENSEE: THE KUNSTVEREIN FRIEDRICHSHAFEN
The Kunstverein is also housed in the ensemble of the onetime port terminal. Two rooms with a total of 115 square meters are at its disposal and are connected to one another in the manner of a gallery by stairs. Established 1983 the institution holds five exhibitions a year, presenting well-known artists in solo shows. There is a focus on positions in installation, video, photography and performance. Many of the artists such as Heike Aumüller, Klaus-Martin Treder or Tamara Grcic come from Southern Germany - and are known much farther afield. Larger presentations such as Szeneliebling in 2011 are organized in cooperation with the Zeppelin Museum.
